With strong ties to Bristol’s musical heritage, Giant Swan embody a raw punk spirit unparalleled in the current techno landscape. Performing across an impressive array of machines and pedals, incorporating abused guitar and liberal voice manipulation into their sound, Giant Swan create a cross-breed of hypnotic bass, industrial percussion and disorientating energy. Part amped-up Techno-phoria, part visceral DIY industrial, they deliver a live set like nobody else in the scene right now.
Having steadily assembled an arsenal of heavy-hitting releases on esteemed labels such such as Whities, Timedance, FuckPunk and Howling Owl Records, Giant Swan have cemented themselves among the most impressive and enjoyable techno-not-techno acts in the world. Last year saw a number of high-profile appearances across some of the world’s best dancefloors, including Krakow’s Unsound Festival, Tresor’s Herrensauna, Berlin Atonal, Berghain / Panorama Bar, and The Art School for Numbers‘ showcase with Helena Hauff, Klein, and Batu. We’re over the moon to be able to welcome them to The Bongo Club at the end of May.
