STORYTIME: AXEL BOMAN

23:00-03:00 £8 / £10 / £12 / £14

‘Is there anything Axel Boman can’t do? Recognised as one of the best DJs in the business, he’s also a renowned producer (both as a solo artist and as ½ of Talaboman with John Talabot) and record label boss (the wonderful Studio Barnhus, alongside Kornél Kovács and Petter Nordkvist).  One of the few things he’s not got round to yet is playing in Edinburgh, so we’re pretty chuffed to host his long-awaited EDI debut. It’s a debut of sorts for us too, as STORYTIME heads to The Bongo Club for the first time. If that’s not enough, local royalty Miss World and Andrea Montalto / Club Mediterraneo complete a wee belter of a lineup.  It’s been a minute since our last one, but this is worth the wait!’ SKIDDLE TICKETS // www.RA TICKETS

FRESH TAKE: MARK BLAIR

23:00-03:00 £3/5/7/9

“After a crazy response to our first release, we thought it was only right we throw another party to celebrate. It took us about 5 minutes to decide on who we could bring to shell the roof off Bongo and heat up a November night: MARK BLAIR.  The Belfast DJ and Producer is one of the most exciting underground house prospects, due to a prolific string of viral, dance floor focused releases. His production skills have created a perfect brand of contemporary House: music firmly focused for the club and for the people.  This approach has seen some of his tracks rack up more than a million views, such as: “Biggie Was a Jazz Fan”. His well received productions being spun by artists like HAAi- and Patrick Topping.
Such talents have seen him become a household name in his hometown and within the wider vibrant Irish scene. Recently, he has been attracting eyes from an international audience, playing parties in New York and bagging himself an Australian tour in 2018.
As a pioneer of the current Ireland takeover in house and techno, we are absolutely buzzing to be giving Mark his full Edinburgh debut and bringing a bit of that energy to the capital.  What to expect? Heavy house, acid, rap edits, grime edits and everything in between.  Dress to sweat.” FACEBOOK
