Another year of Soulsville draws to a close as Bongo heads toward the annual August hiatus. Consequently there’s no better way to mark the occasion other than keeping it a strictly residents affair supplemented with an array of belters, bangers and melters played out at Soulsville over the past 12 months… Dress light…shoes optional. Music of many colours since 2010. Strictly party vibes. FACEBOOK
As usual, the Bongo will be closed for the rest of the summer, due to the Underbelly taking over the lease of the building for the rest of July and August (for the Fringe).
This predicament puts a strain on the Bongo, as the Fringe used to be a very busy time of year for us, the Underbelly is a totally separate business and we make nothing from the enforced hiatus, while still having bills to pay (permanent staff wages etc).
This date will be our (now annual) big Bongo Summer Closing Party, with a slew of regulars from the local scene all clubbing together to help keep the wolf from our door while we’re closed. Please come down and show your support.
