The Glasgow-based pair have been consistently making a name for themselves on the decks at the infamous ‘Shoot Your Shot’ LGBTQ+ parties. While they both bring unique flair, selections and mixing skill as individual artists, they become a serious force to be reckoned with when combined on a B2B. Get ready for Lezzer Quest!
Bonzai Bonner (known lovingly as Bonner by many) is a well known figure in the Glasgow music sphere having founded the pioneering Shoot Your Shot LGBTQ+ event series, working as manager at the Berkeley Suite venue and curating the locals stage line up at Riverside Festival. Bonner’s approach and work behind the scenes has helped to inspire a new generation of community driven artists, creatives and parties, having sought every opportunity to rally for an open-minded dance floor and to encourage self expression. Well known for pumping out Hi-NRG and Italo in the Glasgow nightlife circuit, Bonner is no stranger to causing a stir from behind the decks and we can’t wait to see what they bring for their trip across to the east coast!
Anna Gram is also a busy bee, as a producer of a steady stream of exciting, melodious and genre-bending music, built to take you on a cosmic spin through sound and feeling. Having started producing music in 2020, Anna’s fast growing back catalogue of high quality releases is both impressive and exciting as we consider what’s still to come. Anna’s musical career spans over two decades, DJing alongside some of the scene’s biggest names: Eris Drew, Octo Octa, Bicep, Hammer, Cormac, The Blessed Madonna, Erol Alkan and Perel. As a resident at Shoot Your Shot and at her own Joy Energiser party series, Anna is a DJ who’s unafraid to take risks and her performances are always centered on joy, humour, and the connective energy of the club, with a love of uplifting and melodic music always at the forefront of her selections.
The Lezzer Quest duo recently launched a brand new queer party at Sub Club called Doppelbänger. With the aim to create an atmosphere of positivity, acceptance and joy for everyone involved, as a testament to the original spirit of underground dance music culture, the Doppelbänger series sees Lezzer Quest inviting their favourite LGBTQ+ DJs and allies to bring the noise, having kicked off with Manchester based promoters and rising stars of techno, Blasha & Allatt, back in February.
With such a pair of creative forces at the controls, this is sure to be a special one.
