London’s Dirty Gull brings a whole new wave of live acts from across the world to Auld Reekie with a series of live gigs at The Bongo Club as part of their month long 20th anniversary: Nantes quintet BLONDI’S SALVATION, The Jackals, The Durty Wurks and Colour Carnival.

The Jackals
Cosmic rock n rollers The Jackals hail from Scotland’s capital city Edinburgh. A tight knit musical unit who are well known for their blistering live performances legendary around the city. The band’s sound is a diverse mix of strong cryptic song writing, glacial expansive guitars underpinned with solid grooves of drums and bass . Working with the likes of legendary producer Owen Morris who describes the lads as a ‘great band with soulful, massive tunes’

The Durty Wurks
Shoegaze Psychedelia from these 5 hands on Edinburgh lads who write, produce, perform and promote their own music for music lovers, from music lovers with love.
Recently shortlisted for NME by Primal Scream’s Bassist Simon Butler, their music consists of poignant, thought provoking lyrics with strung out, psychedelic melodies taking you to rolling seas and forgotten dreams.
With a new album on the way and single ‘Strung Out on Heaven’s High’ the lads are creating waves on the scene.
Colour Carnival
A three-piece band based in Edinburgh, playing and writing original songs.
The band draws on the impact of varying musical styles to create a distinctive, eerie, delightfully wicked, style of music, with lyrics covering everything from corrupt government agendas to bitter acquaintances. An explosively imaginative energetic psychedelic waltz that stimulates the soul. Think of The Coral on acid, The Doors meet The View. Colour Carnival are everything Edinburgh’s psychedelic scene has produced simplified into one extraordinary 3-piece!
