“Charlie P is a raggamuffin rudeboy youth with a natural talent for music – reggae was in his blood since he grew up surrounded by UK-Jamaican culture. He first appeared on stage at the age of 5 and there are some grainy youtube videos of him performing as a child. Charlie has worked with some of the biggest names in Dub and features on countless of our favourite sound system records. Working with Mungo’s HiFi, OBF and so many more. Look up Charlie on Spotify or Youtube and you will find countless amazing tunes. Charlie P stands out to us at Uplands Roast as an artist who sounds amazing live, it is not that common to find a vocalist who performs as well live as on records – so Charlie P really stands out. An excellent vocalist at live events as witnessed by us on numerous occasions. We are really excited to work with Charlie P as his shows always bring top top vibes!!!
An amazing Reggae / Dub vocalist from Scotland. Quickly rising through the ranks and touring the UK festival and club scene Wends is an excellent vocalist. After performing at one of our previous events we were blown away by her music. At one stage we thought we were hearing a remix of Beyoncé which sounded amazing – so went to check it out at the stage and it was Wends singing live!! Sounded unreal!

Vixen Sound is a dub, reggae and dancehall selector & MC. A now longtime centre figure in the Scottish Sound System scene Vixen Sound is a really exciting booking. Vixen recently was playing at a Sound System party under the motorway in Glasgow and it was absolutely going off! Such a diverse and interesting selection of music and vibes pieced together in a very thoughtful way – a really fun vibe! Vixen Sound also frequently works with BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Scotland Introducing and BBC TV so has such a vast knowledge of various musical styles and is a very multi-talented act and this really comes across in her bass music sets. Another one to watch out for!

Grassroots sound system from Glasgow. 527 are renowned for their outdoor parties in the most odd places and starting parties wherever they can. From packed out flats in Glasgow to Northumbrian Castles to Scottish Islands and vast forests they have been all over the UK bringing house party vibes to some wacky places. With a style based in Dub and Bass music they frequently wander to the absurd and silly. A fun, tongue in cheek and casual party crew always up for a dance. Always great fun to work with and we look forward to having them with us on the 26th!”
