After a sold out gig at The Voodoo Rooms in April, with people turned away at the door, The Bad Touch make their Bongo Club debut. The Bad Touch are a new Alt-Sleaze Edinburgh Five-Piece. Greasy baritone vocals over emphatic beats. Think of an Evil Elvis orchestrating a dirty Doors. A torrid symphony of guitar, bass, organ and drums.
The Valkarys are a psychedelic/garage band fronted by Scott William Dunlop. They released their album (Just Like) Flying With God last year to wide acclaim and play the Zaragoza Psyche Festival in Spain this Autumn.
‘They have that signature sound which comes from diligent years of biological evolution and an unwavering artistic vision – they never deviate from the desire to involve the listener in timeless, authentic, independent music’ (Beardedradio)
Raw, lo-fi approach which strips their writing down to its bare essence. Imagine those early La’s demos or even Lou Reed supplanted to one of Scotland’s most deprived areas – two songwriters with a knack for both noise and melody. Listen to their single, ‘Sharp End’ via Soundcloud (link below).
