Soulsville will be celebrating the Bongo’s 20th Birthday by inviting London’s Nik Weston to headline on 22nd October.
Originally known as The Man to go to in the Big Smoke, if you wanted to pick up rare Japanese imports, these days Nik is better known as the music buyer for Juno Records and for his Mukatsuku label, which releases killer re-edits and reissues of classic and obscure Soul, Funk, Disco, Afrobeat, Latin, Brazilian and more. With over 20 years of DJing experience under his belt, Weston knows a thing or two about rare groove and is the perfect guest for Soulsville.
Est. 2010, this is Edinburgh’s institutional shot of Deep Rhythms and Rugged Grooves. Residents Cameron Mason and Calum Evans will be spinning the finest cuts of Deep Funk, Latin Rhythms and Rare Groove into the early hours from 11pm -3am. Strictly party vibes.
Main Room: Deep Funk // Latin Rhythms // Rugged Blues // Rare Groove
