FLINT & PITCH: ‘THIS SCRIPT’ BOOK LAUNCH (LIVE)

Friday 17 May
19:00-22:00 £6.50 (adv)

Flint & Pitch proudly presents the book launch for Jenny Lindsay’s second collection, published by Stewed Rhubarb Press!

Hosted by Siân Bevan, Jenny will perform an exclusive never-before-seen set of work from the book, discuss the themes, and showcase three film-poems created with Kevin Mclean and Perry Jonsson.

In support, we are delighted to present the first ever live gig from The Girl Who Cried Wolf (Audrey Tait & Lauren Gilmour); writer and theatre-maker Jen McGregor (also the director of the This Script stage-show) and the mighty Josephine Sillars + The Manic Pixie Dreams.

Come along for spoken word, poetry, music, performance, chat, film and much much more!

NB: All ticket sales go towards artist fees and venue costs.

Praise for This Script:

Salena Godden: A new body of work that is tackling the big subjects of today, sex and gender and feminism and death: this is of the now and here and I urge everyone to go see this work, this bold voice, beautiful heart and truly remarkable talent.

Luke Wright: This Script is sharply written, charmingly performed, and needs saying.

Dave Hook aka Solareye: This Script is as well constructed as it is culturally significant, tackling difficult-to-navigate topics in ways that engage and challenge the audience in equal amounts. Honest, intelligent and thought-provoking.

Kevin Williamson: Fierce, intelligent and moving

Magi Gibson: An explosive blend of the personal and political delivered with linguistic dexterity, energy and wit

Becca Inglis, The Wee Review: One of this year’s most necessary spoken-word performances

Praise for Jenny Lindsay:

Andrew Eaton-Lewis, The Scotsman: Defiant. Eloquent. Inspiring.

Gutter Magazine: Takes to the stage as if staging a coup
