It’s a brand new, spin-off night from Gamma Ray Dali and her team (behind the much-loved Confusion Is Sex nights)! Following massive recent CIS nights (with over 400 ppl at their last night at the Bongo in June and then between 600 and 800 ppl for each of their festival specials at Cabaret Voltaire), it was hardly going to be the end altogether and the new night is much more focussed on the DJs and the dance floor, with the more twisted, freaky Confusion Is Sex nights continuing at less regular intervals, in extra-special, one-off locations.
Confusion‘s main stars are brand new DJ / live MC duo Bossy Love (pictured above)! This boy/girl pair performed their first ever set at CIS in June and were immediately invited to be residents. Non-stop, genre-defying, floor-fillers broken up by exciting, impromptu live rapping to create the most unique club environment anywhere, Bossy Love is one half DJ (aka Dolby Anol, also the singer inDananananaykroyd/Alarm Bells, whose productions have earned him deals in Japan and copious remixes) and one half MC/singer, originally from the Gold Coast in Australia, top line writer to pop-stars worldwide and an artist in her own right. Debut EP ME + U came out to critical acclaim last year.

A welcome return to The Bongo is James V – the DJ alias of the in-house visual designer at Glasgow/Brussels dance label Mortar & Pestle. He’s played his dark and deep style in a string of clubs in the capital as well as playing Glasgow’s Nice N Sleazy’s sacred New Years Eve slot and warming up for acts like Drop The Lime.
