Tonight’s theme is: ‘Tribe’.
NB This will be the last CONFUSION IS SEX event at The Bongo Club.
Cabaret band 11-11.45pm (TBC)
DJs (main room):
Baby Diego (Dolby Anol, Mortar & Pestle, Tigerbass)
Bossy Love (Operator Please, Australia)
James V (Mortar & Pestle)
Dirty Red Diamonds (Oly HOBO & Jake THE EGG) – underground cool tunes, spinning all your favourites from the 70s and beyond.
Baby Diego, is one half of Dolby Anol, the singer in Dananananaykroyd (and now their new band, Alarm Bells) – his own productions have earned him deals as far a field as Japan and a long list of remixes. This set will be a one off live collaboration with Bossy Love.
Bossy Love is from from The Gold Coast in Australia. She is essentially the Aussie equivalent of Ester Dean. She is top-line writer to pop-stars the world over and an artist in her own right. Recently relocated to London, she self-released her debut record ME + U EP (produced by Baby Diego) to critical acclaim last year and features on some of the big music sites including DUMMY Magazine. She’ll be providing old school MC vibes to Baby Diego‘s set, live impromptu raps and we may be treated to a live version of their club hit Ass On The Floor.
Returning to The Bongo is James V, DJ alias of the in-house visual designer at Glasgow/Brussels dance label Mortar & Pestle. He’s played his dark and deep style in a string of clubs in the capital as well as playing New Year’s in Sleazy’s and warming up for Drop The Lime in Glasgow.
