MUMBO JUMBO - 25 May 2013
Mumbo Jumbo is a night with a mix of musical styles from funk and hip hop to house and electronica care of resident DJs Trendy Wendy [Tackno / Playgirl Mansions] and Steve Austin [Headspin]. There's also live congas and percussion by Bongo Dave
There's also free CDs for the first 200 folk thru the door every month - get in there!
Mumbo Jumbo joins-the-dots between musical styles, mixing up funk and soul, throwing in beats, bootlegs and mash-ups, taking you through the disco to house and electro, all sprinkled with character and liberal helpings of cracking vocals! This is Saturday night party music at its best!

Rock & Roll Ping Pong with DJ Ding and DJ Dong - a free, monthly Sunday-night social with balls on!
Note that tonight's event starts at the earlier time of 7pm [there's a SeneGambian clubnight on later]
There's always fine beers and fine company, with free-play, silly ping pong games, and music from every genre to play along to courtesy of in-house soundtrackmeisters DJs Ding & Dong
Also, for those with a wee bit of a competitive instinct, there's an optional, strictly amateur tournament [£1 to enter, winner takes all!]

MarrFest is back with a bang in 2013!
In July 2012, our dear friend Alex Marr sadly passed away due to complications following heart surgery. In honour of Alex, we’ve decided to put on a charity gig in Alex’s name, with all proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation
Doors open 7pm [first act 7.10pm] and will feature musicians who knew or played alongside Alex Marr
Playing MarrFest 2013:
Lisa Aird - Lisa is a singer/songwriter who once shared lead vocals with Alex in AC Rid. She now sings with BiasFirey and The Vinyl Countdown Showband www.biasfirey.com

AC-Rid - Original members Steve Atkins and Tam Kane have teamed up with the Rid’s most recent drummer Forbo to play some of Alex Marr’s songs from AC Rid. Expect some old classics with a twist!
