Running as meeting and rehearsal space during the day, it transforms into a multi functional, multi media venue for live music, theatre and clubs at night.
In Oct 2003, Bongo moved from the much loved but disintegrating site in New Street to Moray House on Holyrood Road.
In Jan 2013, Bongo moved again to develop a new home at 66 Cowgate, underneath Central Library.
The originators of its much imitated style, The Bongo Club specializes in the art and music of the underground. Supporting marginalised artists, both local and international, mixing live music, film, theatre and DJ's The Bongo Club continues to break the traditional mould for a nightclub.
