NEWHAM GENERALS
As Grime scene veterans, they are among the most respected and critically acclaimed underground acts in the UK today. Having consistently forged new styles and concepts throughout a career spanning three decades – from longstanding grime classics such as “Frontline’ and ‘Prangman’ to the Dubstep anthem ‘Hard’ – the Generals set themselves apart from any competition, shutting down raves all over the country with ease… Equally great in their own right, when Footsie & D Double jump on stage together it’s always sight to behold – case in point; the last time we had them in 2011 it was an absolute roadblock outside the old Bongo Club.
BLACKWAX
Informed by the UK’s rich heritage in underground electronic music as well as noticeable influences from further afield, their dark, rugged productions are aglow with the embers of thirty years’ musical history. With releases on Liminal Sounds and the absolute stomping remix of ‘Pulse’ by Youngstar under their belt. Blackwax are definitely ones to watch for 2015.
