BOOKFELLAS: SINGER-SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE

Bookfellas is a Scottish Book Trust initiative that brings together 50 men and aims to raise £50,000 to ensure that everyone in Scotland has the same opportunity to thrive through reading and writing. We want to encourage more men to read for pleasure and highlight the importance of dads reading to their children.

As part of this, we are putting on an event to showcase some excellent Scottish Singer-Songwriters – an evening of excellent music for your enjoyment. All funds raised will go directly to the Scottish Book Trust’s Bookfellas initiative.

THE RICH
The Rich are an Edinburgh band, brought together by a love of guitar music, performing and a shared sense of fun. With successful D.I.Y gigs at Henry’s Cellar Bar and Electric Circus and singles such as Unemployed & Useless and Pangea, The Rich are becoming one of Edinburgh’s must see rock bands. The Rich will be stripping down (just musically, we hope) for an Acoustic set.

LIAM KIDD
Liam Kidd is a singer-songwriter with intensity rarely seen on the acoustic scene. Taking cues from hard rock and the blues, he combines imaginative writing with blistering riffs and bad-ass attitude. Not to be missed.

RYAN MACREADY
Ryan Macready is a singer-songwriter boasting original songs with emotionally charged writing and atmospheric guitar lines. Diverse musical influences and musicianship compliment organic songwriting and raw vocals.

 

Ryan McCluckie

Ryan McCluckie is a singer-songwriter from the West of Scotland. His bluesy style and powerful guitar lines combine with a soulful voice for am earthy and unique sound.
