Photographs by Chris Gibson
Chris Gibson has travelled and experienced extensively the land of Scotland . From a young age he has always shown a passion for the land he calls home. He is skilled in mountain craft and has a great love for the outdoors. Chris has been driven by such a love that has also taken him all around the world travelling through many different cultures. Educated at the University of Abertay Dundee , gained him an honours degree in Environmental Technology. This allowed him to achieve a greater awareness of his home surroundings. His knowledge of the History of Scotland was born from a season of deer stalking on the Isle of Jura when he was eighteen. He currently uses these skills working for a independant touring company across Scotland highlighting that which he has come to know so well, the land. He has been regarded as an ambassador for Scotland and generates a friendly and professional atmosphere for the many that have been able to travel with him.
The use of photography has allowed Chris to expand on another of his great passions and capture the very essence of Scotland in its many guises. His ability for capturing his subject has enabled him to offer his own perspective of his native country. His works portray the beauty of such a harsh and contrasting environment that has bred such a rich culture. He strives to take the viewer with him on a journey through the very land that is The Depth of Scotland.
