A lot can be learnt about city space from the visual imagery pasted on its walls. It can provide a striking introduction to the cultural activities and political issues that pervade the urban core.

surface appeal is a series of photographs revealing the different characters and personalities that appear through layers of posters. Spontaneously capturing accidental but pertinent collages, the photographs emphasize the ephemeral process of pasting, posting and layering.

This exhibition aims to give an insight into the new and evolving art forms that are being revealed on our streets.
